About the classes

These classes are for all voices.

They are easy as pie and they're all about finding ease in the voice and in the body.

There's no pressure to perform or speak in front of the others.  There's no right or wrong.

Each individual works in the group in their own areas of focus.
I'm an actor with a lifelong interest in communication and speaking. I'm a mother of one -now a three year old at kindy. When I became a mum I wanted a class like this without any pressure, just a simple casual class to meet other mums and do something of a warm up. I've decided now to host those classes!  I'm really aware that we need a social antidote to technology and that is all about speaking and talking to eachother in real time!  So I'm tailoring these sessions with and without babies.  If you like they're the soft and loud aspects of voice!
We workout with a run or exercises, but our voices need some care too.
A simple class that begins exploring the voice in this immediate way can leave you feeling refreshed, centred, revitalized, and more ready for what's next in your day.

Easyvoice

These classes look at a number of different aspects of voice that I've discovered as valuable over the years. From breathing through to vocal strength.

To explore these areas, the class will incorporate some very gentle stretching and excersises that come from a number of schools of practise. Participants can use a chair cushions or bring their own yoga mat or blanket for the floor.
We'll look at different areas of the body over the course of the next six months. (but each session will reference the others too). The face, The neck, The chest and lungs, The stomach, the tongue and the head all have a call for reference.

Mumvoice
These classes are very similar to the easyvoice classes as described above, however babies are welcome! There's not a defined cut off age for bubs but somewhere between 12-16 months I feel they'll be clearly less inclined to tolerate this period of time in one place!
The areas of work have more focus for mums in two particular areas:  reverberative work in the body, basically I mean -using the voice and the breath to check in on how the body is doing, and of course communication with your baby!   The reassuring voice, finding calm, and using voice to rise above the day to day stresses that arise.
There's also an opportunity to have a quality time to explore for you and bub together and of course to meet other mums and women.

We know our voices  are important for our lives.  People read us by our voices as they do our faces.
In the first few year of our babies lives they learn all they can from their mums.
